Gerrymandering is "the practice of drawing the boundaries of electoral districts in a way that gives one political party an unfair advantage over its rivals or that dilutes the voting power of members of minority groups," (Britannica, 2024).
Some folks in North Carolina have seen their electoral district lines - and their representation - change 4 times in the last 10 years because of gerrymandering.
Unfortunately, in North Carolina and across the country, partisan gerrymandering has been used as a tool by politicians of both parties to manipulate electoral outcomes with almost surgical precision.
