Rep. Nickel Joins the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force

Today, U.S. Representative Wiley Nickel (NC-13) joined the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.

The Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, Chaired by Representative Mike Thompson (CA-04), is a group of lawmakers working to find common sense solutions to reduce gun violence in the United States.

“Last Congress, the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force was instrumental in passing some of the most comprehensive bipartisan gun violence legislation in decades,” said Rep. Nickel. “I’m thankful for Chairman Thompson’s leadership and look forward to building off that progress in the 118th Congress to take additional action to keep our communities safe from unnecessary gun violence.”

"Gun violence must be a top priority for this Congress, and it is vital that new leaders in Congress are involved in these efforts. I’m thrilled to have Congressman Wiley Nickel join the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force," said Rep. Thompson, Chair of Gun Violence Prevention Task. "Wiley will be a great addition to the Task Force and will help us push for common sense gun violence prevention measures that will help save lives and protect our communities."
