Today, Congressman Wiley Nickel (NC-13) issued the following statement on the ongoing budget situation after a partisan proposal failed on the House floor:

“We need to keep the government open. We have less than a day to make it happen, and it's well past time for Democrats and Republicans to meet in the middle and find a bipartisan solution,” said Congressman Wiley Nickel. “There’s a bipartisan solution on the table: the Bipartisan Keep America Open Act. It’s time to move.”
