Today, U.S. Representative Wiley Nickel (NC-13) launched a Carolina Hurricanes playoff challenge ahead of the Hurricanes first round playoff series against the New York Islanders. 

Representative Nickel, a longtime Hurricanes fan and father of a Junior Canes player, challenged his fellow freshmen class and Problem Solvers Caucus colleague, Representative Anthony D’Esposito (NY-04), to a friendly wager. 

“I’m expecting a great series between the Canes and Islanders, but expect the Canes to win in 6 and get

a step closer to the Stanley Cup Finals,” said Rep. Nickel. “ I look forward to enjoying some great Long Island Pizza courtesy of Team D’Esposito after the Canes send the Islanders packing.”
